Sedona classics
- Regular Route – ⭐⭐ 5.7 T, 3 pitches (40 min approach)
- Mellow climb, but it’s a tower climb so potentially worth doing
Original North Face Route– ⭐ 5.7+ T, 3 pitches (30 min approach)- Also a tower climb, Regular Route looks more fun though
- Dr. Rubo’s Wild Ride – ⭐⭐⭐ 5.9 T, 4 pitches (30 min approach)
Sedona’s Scenic Cruise– ⭐ 5.9 T, 5 pitches (the traverse one, and 1hr approach+double ropes)Mars Attacks– ???? 5.9 PG13, hugeee long traverse- Nirvana – ⭐⭐ 5.9 T, 3 pitches (40 min approach)
- Seems potentially fun, nothing super special
Original Route– ???? 5.9+ T, 5 pitches (has the giant jump across for rappelling)North Face/West Crack– ???? 5.9+ (has ANOTHER jump, this time on route and mandatory)- Earth Angel – 5.10- T, 6 pitches (same tower as Touched By An Angel)
- Maybe need #0.0-0.1
- The Windows Route – 5.10 T, 3 pitches (has the wide chimney between two pillars)
- Touched By An Angel – ⭐⭐ 5.10 T, 5 pitches
- 45 min approach, single 70m or double 60’s, maybe need #0.0-0.1
- Has the splitter pitch, but it is somewhat fist crack size, and somewhat traversy
- Coyote Tower – ⭐⭐⭐ 5.10c T, 6 pitches
- 25 min? Double 60m ropes, looks like good quality climbing!
- Cragging at Waterfall in Oak Creek Canyon
- Lots of 1-pitch 5.10+ basalt cracks, 30-40 min approach
Sedona plans
- 1 full day for Coyote Tower (5.10c 6 pitch) (probably sun most of day)
- Half day for Dr Rubo’s 5.9 4-pitch (probably sunny in afternoon)
- Half day for Regular Route
- 1 full day for cragging – Or maybe no cragging since seems too tough

Sedona weather

Dispersed camping on Schnebly Hill Rd
Other climbing
- Queen Creek Canyon east of Phoenix seems to have some good cragging
- Rock Climb Wily Javelina, Southern Arizona (mountainproject.com)
- A bit runout sport one, sometimes 30 ft between bolts, 5.9, not many ppl do it, east of Tucson
- Mt Lemmon
- La Milagrosa Canyon (eastern Tucson)
Queen Creek Canyon climbing
- Atlantis S Side, 5 min approach (have to sign online waver to get access), enough for 1 full day!
- 3-pitch 5.9 The Trident
- And about 8 other single-pitch climbs
- Maybe could do a few on the north side too but there’s not as many
- There’s a few in Funny Farm next door too
- The Pond 15 min approach (have to sign waver again), enough for 1 full day!
- At least 14 single pitch routes that look good!
- Could probably do Hackberry Creek if we want a third day, it has a few decent looking ones
