Saturday
- 12:00 PM – Drive to Mazama
- 3:30 PM – Arrive at crag (between 58 to 64 degrees and mostly cloudy)
- 7:00 PM – Leave crag for camp at Mazama sno-park
- 7:15 PM – Set up camp, sleep
Sunday
- 5:15 AM – Drive to trailhead (48.22003, -120.26796)
- 6:00 AM – At trailhead
- 6:15 AM – Hike the loop (24 miles, 8,465 ft gain, 12 hours) (WTA trip report did it in 8 hrs moving quickly) (we’ll go to Bigelow first via the 3rd class scramble up Bigelow’s SE side, then possibly do Martin and Switchback before going to Cooney Lake and back to the car)
- 6:15 PM – Back at car
- 6:30 PM – Drive home (4 hrs)
- 10:30 PM – Home
- If you don’t hear from us by 9am Monday, that’s when to call 911.

- 9:00 AM – At trailhead
- 9:15 AM – Hike to Cooney Lake (8.5 miles, 3,500 ft gain, 4.5 hrs)
- 1:45 PM – Arrive at Cooney Lake, set up camp
- 2:30 PM – Possible 7 mile, 3,500 ft gain loop to Sunrise Lake and watch sunset from Switchback Mountain, 4 hrs)
- 6:30 PM – Top of Switchback Mountain, wait for sunset
Sunday
- 7:00 AM – Break down camp
- 7:30 AM – Hike the rest of the loop (14 miles, 2,000 ft gain, 7 hrs)
- 2:30 PM – Back at car
- 3:00 PM – Drive home
- 7:00 PM – Home
